Presentation about volunteering
In our EPAS team, we made a presentation in English about volunteering. The aim of the presentation was to explain what volunteering is, who volunteers are, and how people can take part in volunteering activities.
Volunteering means helping other people or the community without getting paid. A volunteer is a person who gives their time, energy, and skills to help others because they want to do something good. Volunteers help in many areas, such as hospitals, schools, animal shelters, or during charity events and of course many more.
People can volunteer in different ways. They can help elderly people, take care of animals, collect money or food for people in need, or help at community events. Volunteering is important because it helps others but also makes the world a better place.
At our school, we have a traditional activity where we as students make Christmas wreaths for patients in the ÚVN (ÚVN is a military hospital). This activity shows our respect, support, and gratitude to patients in the hospital. We are happy that we can help and do something meaningful for them.
