Social media
Our social media team mainly focuses on video recording, conducting interviews with our students, and photographing the various activities organized within the EPAS programme. Since joining EPAS, we have developed many creative ideas and projects, including topics related to history and the European Union. We also successfully organized student elections.
We truly enjoy this work and are very motivated to continue creating more videos and media content in the future. We are especially grateful to our teacher, who allows us to record videos even during lessons, which gives us valuable opportunities to capture authentic moments.
Over time, we have recorded and created content for many projects and events, such as European Languages Day, November 17th, student elections, the EcoPaws promotion, visits from Slovak students participating in Erasmus, Halloween Day, and the Christmas wreath donation to a hospital.

While our Instagram presence has expanded successfully with a wide variety of content, our TikTok growth has been somewhat stagnant. We have plenty of creative concepts ready to go, and our main goal for the upcoming period is to focus on revitalizing our TikTok channel and making it as dynamic as our other platforms. To revitalize the channel, we are diving into new formats. Our main goal for the upcoming period is to focus on short-form video content, specifically street interviews. We believe this more personal, spontaneous approach is exactly what our TikTok needs to bridge the gap.
On top of that, we'll be helping Ecopaws with their content creation as well. We can't wait to apply our creative ideas to their mission and grow together.
Our Social Media team has been working closely with the history department to bring you a project that's a bit different from our usual deep dives. During their downtime, our historians developed a series of concepts that are more accessible and punchy—perfect for sharing on digital platforms. This "historical trio" focuses on figures who were truly ahead of their time, and we've had a blast turning their research into engaging content for your feed.
The series starts with Master Jan Hus, a figure we consider pivotal to our modern freedoms. Though he was martyred for standing by his truth, his ideas were simply too revolutionary for the era, especially given that the Czech lands didn't yet hold the same geopolitical influence as nations like Italy, France, or Germany. Following Hus, we shine a light on George of Poděbrady, another visionary who lived centuries ahead of his time. His proposal for a peaceful union of nations serves as a fascinating early blueprint for the modern EU, a concept that remains incredibly relevant to our lives today.
To round out the collection, the team bridged the gap between history and feminism by featuringFrantiška Plamínková. Her tireless fight for women's suffrage and equality is a crucial chapter of our history that deserves more recognition. We've worked hard to translate these historical milestones into a modern format, and we're excited to share that the entire project is now live. You can find all the posts, graphics, and stories over on our Instagram.
In addition to our historical series, we've teamed up with Ecopaws to tackle a more contemporary, yet equally urgen, topic: fast fashion. Our history lead worked with the Ecopaws team to create a special post exploring the problematic nature of the fast fashion industry and its environmental and social consequences.
By looking at the industry through both a modern and an analytical lens, we wanted to highlight how consumption habits have shifted and why the current model is no longer sustainable. We believe that understanding our past, as we did with our "historical trio," also means taking responsibility for our future.
Just like our series on Hus, Poděbrady, and Plamínková, this collaboration is designed to be informative and visually engaging. You can find our deep dive into the fast fashion crisis and what we can do about it. Now live on our Instagram!
