Volunteering

We are part of the EPAS program, which gives us the opportunity to learn more about European values, active citizenship, and participation in society. Through this program, we focus on volunteering.
Volunteering allows us to contribute to our community in a meaningful way. We take part in different activities that support people in need. By helping others, we not only promote volunteering, but we also develop important skills such as teamwork, communication, empathy, and responsibility.

As part of our volunteering activities at school, we made handmade Christmas wreaths for ÚVN. This activity was meant to show respect, gratitude, and support for elderly people and patients there. Through this experience, we learned that even simple handmade gifts can bring joy and comfort to others.
We are also preparing several activities connected to International Women's Day. As part of our volunteering work, we plan to make handmade paper flowers that will be given to women in ÚVN. This gesture is meant to express respect, gratitude, and support for women, including patients and staff.
In addition to the volunteering activity, we will prepare presentations about feminism and women's rights. Through these presentations, we want to raise awareness about gender equality and the importance of equal opportunities for women and men.
Overall, being part of the EPAS program has inspired us to be active, open-minded, and willing to help others. Volunteering is not only about giving time, but also about learning and sharing experiences.
